Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using GoodGit ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

Description of Service

GoodGit is an AI-powered service that helps developers generate better git commit messages by analyzing code changes. The Service integrates with popular version control platforms including GitHub, Bitbucket, and GitLab.

User Accounts

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • One person or legal entity may maintain no more than one account

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on the rights of others
  • Upload malicious code or content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Use the Service for any commercial purpose without permission
  • Abuse or overload our systems

Repository Access

By connecting your repositories to GoodGit, you grant us permission to:

  • Read repository metadata and commit history
  • Analyze code changes to generate commit messages
  • Store repository information for service functionality

We will only access the minimum data necessary to provide our services and will not modify your repositories or share your code with third parties.

Subscription and Billing

  • Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
  • All fees are non-refundable except as required by law
  • We may change our pricing with 30 days' notice
  • Your subscription will automatically renew unless cancelled
  • You can cancel your subscription at any time

Usage Limits

Different subscription plans have different usage limits:

  • Hobby Plan: 100 AI-generated commits per month
  • Personal Plan: 1,000 AI-generated commits per month
  • Team Plan: Custom limits based on team size

Exceeding your plan's limits may result in service restrictions until the next billing cycle or plan upgrade.

Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of GoodGit and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

You retain all rights to your code and repositories. AI-generated commit messages become part of your repository and are owned by you.

Service Availability

We strive to maintain high service availability but cannot guarantee 100% uptime. We may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance, updates, or other operational reasons.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall GoodGit, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the Service.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and bar access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature in your settings.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be interpreted and governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which GoodGit operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
